Hello KurtK,

Thank you for your question. We understand you're having issues configuring your system to boot using the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/solid-state-drives/solid-state-drives-dc-p3500-series.html Intel® SSD DC P3500 Series. In this case, it would be important for you to check with your motherboard or computer manufacturer to ensure that this SSD is fully compatible with your system. - http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/oems.html Computer Manufacturer Support Websites. You can find installation steps with examples for different motherboard configurations in our http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/solid-state-drives/000005967.html NVMe* Boot Guide (Windows* 8.1 settings also apply for Windows® 10). However, your computer manufacturer will be the best resource for BIOS settings to be used with your specific system. In order to give you a more complete answer, we would like to have the following information:1- Will you be installing your operating system on this SSD, or will it be used as a secondary/storage drive?2- What is the brand and model of your motherboard, or computer?3- Have you tried installing this SSD on a different slot?4- Do you have any additional drives currently installed? We look forward to hearing back from you.Best regards,Carlos A.
