I have a HP Pavilion Laptop with the pm965 chipset, T9300 cpu, 4gig ram running win7 ultimate 64 bit. I have the 160 G2. Using the msahci driver I get 5.9 for my Windows Experience Index (WEI). I loaded latest intel matrix storage controller and score went to 7.7. Now I want to switch back from the iastor to the msahci because as I understand it, iastor does not support trim. I tried to edit registry and put a 3 for start and I get the bsod on boot up. One important fact is my bios has no entries for switching to compatibility mode or anything to do with controller. Is there a way to switch back to msahci without uninstalling the Matrix Intel Controller?

I'm not Fernando but I'll reply to this. In the Intel documentation it states the more restore points and the type of restore points do affect the time. My drive (160 gig) was taking 4 hrs. I erased all restore points and it then took less than a second!. This was with the msahci driver.
