RST v9.5.0.1037 stable and suitable for single SSD in AHCI on Vista?

I'm looking for most stable/official/recent ahci driver to use on a single X25-M in AHCI mode on Vista (32bit) SP2.

I see RST v9.5.0.1037 is available from http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3125&DwnldID=15251&lang=eng RAID: for Intel Desktop Boards but is described as RAID, and also for Intel dekstop boards. Will this work perfectly fine with a single drive in AHCI mode, with non-Intel desktop boards?

I can't work out why this release isn't featured in the RST download section

... or should i simply use the latest IMSM driver http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=17883&ProdId=2101&lang=eng v8.9.0.1023?
