I have a Intel X25-M SSDSA2MH080G2C1 2.5" 80GB. I believe partition alignment to the nand block size is important for performance on SSD's. What is the nand block size on this drive? How can I check that the partition is aligned properly?
Thanks

Hello!
The NAND erase blocks on Intel MLC drives are 128 pages wide. With each page being 4kB in size this results in a block size of 512kB. So, with either 0.5MB or the more widely used 1MB offset (Win7 etc.) your partitions will be aligned to the block size!

Thanks for the reply. My partiton was misaligned as I had copied the partition to the SSDs with Acronis from a Dell PC which had a restore/utility partition. I fixed the alignment and got a good increase in performance as you can see.
