Hello, I just got a new 80 GB X-25M G2 and Ijust want to make sure I get the best performance out of it. First off, people have been saying stuff about disabling pagefiles. Is this ok to do? I have Windows 7 64 bit RC right now, and 4 GB of ram. Also, I know that TRIM is going to be released around the same time as Windows 7 (Which I already ordered), and I have heard that TRIM can only be used in AHCI mode and not IDE mode. Is this true? Does AHCI mode help performance at all?

From what I read, keeping the pagefile on SSD improves peformance. I am pretty sure Anand said TRIM works in both IDE and AHCI. As for AHCI helping performance, I have read it does, but specifically in the 4K-64K Read area: http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=482994# 482994 http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=482994# 482994
