I have a x25m g2 and upgrade to the firmware 02HD. Ive also used the Intel SSD toolbox v1.1 and Ran the "Intel SSD Optimizer". After that i have a bunch of .bin files in my root OS drive? Can these be deleted safetly? If not what are they?

I have just noticed that i have these files too.

Mine are all dated 3rd December at 12:36. This was one day after I installed the new firmware.

I had the issue during flashing using AHCI where I was told it had not worked.

Message was edited by: jimh&# 13; I have now discovered that when I run the Intel SSD Toolbox and try to manually run the optimizer it creates some of these .bin files.&# 13; In my case the Optimizer fails because of an error creating optimizer files on the selected drive.

Thanks for the reply.

Well i took the risk and deleted those bin files and my windows 7 still booted fine.

Is their a way to tell if "TRIM" is running?

I deleted the bin files too and it all works fine here.

Testing TRIM seems a bit problematic, try this article for info.

What is everyone talking about changing in the bios "AHCI". is that only for RAID or Single Drives?
