Your 4k and access times are suboptimal but if you would notice that in real life is debatable. What mobo are you using?

ASUS notebook G73JH - Mobo H55M
core i7, ati hd 5870m, 8gb ddr3 ram
Seq: R:251 W:1044K: R:13 W:194K64: R:143 W:65Time: 0.113 / 0.185everything is AWESOME. but the 4k is damn terrible. what could be doing this?other than my 4k these numbers are some of the best i have seen05-17-2010 05:37 AM
Those results are not abnormal for a notebook/ laptop. If you put the drive in a workstation you would see an increase in the access time and 4k speeds.
Your access times of 0.113 / 0.185 should be in the order of 0.057 and 0.084. For some reason your notebook is adding latency which is effecting your access and 4k times.

hmm ok. any ideas what could cause a increased latency?
what if i changed allocation to 64K instead of 4k
and could i use something like acronis disk director to do this without formatting, or would this ruin ssd?
