Hello, bigjon2929.

Thank you for contacting Intel® Memory and Storage support.

As we understand, you are requesting support; related to your Intel® SSD 660p Series; If we inferred correctly, please, review and provide us with the following information:

1- Based on the article USB/PCIe* Adapters and Enclosures for Intel® Solid State Drives https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000055211/memory-and-storage.html

While using Intel® SSDs and Intel® SSD Tools, it's highly recommended that the drives be connected directly to the motherboard. If you are connecting the drive through an adapter or enclosure (USB to SATA, USB to M.2 or Thunderbolt™ to M.2), keep in mind that the BIOS, motherboard, backplane, or some tools may not recognize the drive properly.

2- We would appreciate it if you may connect the SSD directly to the board and let us know if you still experience the same issue with the drivers.

3- We advise you to contact your PC OEM (original equipment manufacturer) Dell* to check the compatibility of the SSD and the adapters you are using.

4- The system details by extracting the SSU logs.

A- Go to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/ (for Windows*) and to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26735/ (for Linux) download the software.

B- When you finish downloading it, open it.

C- Attach the file generated by the tool in your reply.

The following How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows* article may be helpful:

We will follow up with you again on Thursday, the 10th of March 2022, if we do not receive an answer from you. Please, let us know if you would like to schedule a different date for the follow-up.

Best regards.
