Two X25-E 64gig, different firmware.

Hello,

I have two Intel X25-E 64gig SSD drives. They were bought from two different locations due to low stock avaliability. My dilemma is that they are both from different batches and their firmware revisions are differen't. One is the latest 8850 rev, the other 8790 rev. I plan to run both in Raid 0. I'm assuming I'm able to flash the older f/w revision to the latest firmware and hopefully not run into any problems while running Raid 0. Can anyone please assist and tell me if this will be ok?

Thankyou.

Hi,

I have one 32GB X25-E SSD and I upgraded it yesterday (to the latest), no issues:

Firmware Version: 045C8850

But do note, each step of the upgrade process takes 10-120 seconds, so be very patient and let it take its time.

Justin.

Can anyone else please offer some advice?

Before put the drives in RAID upgrade the firmware. Follow Intel`s instructions. You can have better performance if you have the same version of firmwares.
