Intel 520 chkdsk volume bitmap error

Sometimes I run the chkdsk utility due to an ntfs error in the windows log, and it usually finds a volume bitmap error in the filesystem. I then rerun chkdsk and low and behold the error mysteriously disappears. If I let chkdsk run at boot after it finds the error, the utility supposedly fixes the problem. But then again after a windows restart the error creaps up again. Is there something wrong with the drive? BTW I'm using a rampage iv extreme board.
