Hello, one year ago i bought two x25-e to my macs(mac mini, imac) and after latest upgrade mac os x my mac did not boot, i tried everything but it did not help me.

I wrote about this problem in apple support communities https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4890828?start=0&tstart=0 Can't boot after installing 10.8.3: Apple Support Communities ; someone fixed this problem with firmware upgrade(x25-m and more) but x25-e does not have any new firmware...

What shall i do? Will i need to buy new ssd?

Hello poxid,

Do you have the firmware 8850 already installed? If not, you may first perform a secure erase or low level format on the drive and then try updating the firmware with the Intel® SATA Solid-State Drive Firmware Update Tool.

Also, is this issue happening with both Apple systems?

Since you already have the latest Intel® SSD firmware version installed and the issue started after the Mac OS update you may want to contact Apple for further assistance.

In case you want to verify if the Intel® SSDs are working properly then we suggest you to test them with a different (non Apple) system. In Windows* you may use the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18455 Intel(R) SSD Toobox.

x25-e are working fine(i've got bootcamp with windows 7), apple made some critical change in sata driver and i'm thinking ssd need new sata compatible firmware(many people fixed this problem with new firmware). I wrote about this problem in apple support communities but apple did not fix it.
