not able to locate NVMe using ledctl ! are they not supported !

ledctl locate=/dev/nvme1n1

ledctl: /dev/ddn_nvme1n1: device not supported

is there an alternative method to locate the NVMe devices [lid up the LED] from the operating system. in my case it is CentOS 7.3

Hi pharthiphan,

We are aware of your situation regarding the Intel® SSD DC P3520 Series that you are not able to locate NVMe* using ledctl. We would like to let you know that the SSD works with the Inbox drivers that are included in the Kernel of your operating system. For support on ledctl we advise you to contact the CentOS* support communities in order to get assistance on this situation. For monitoring and management in Linux* we recommend the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27144/Intel-SSD-Data-Center-Tool?product=87278 Intel(R) SSD Data Center Tool. Regards,Junior M.

Hi pharthiphan,

Thanks for the update. Could you please let us know how are you connecting the SSDs to the motherboard? Are you using a RAID controller? Are you connecting the SSDs directly to the motherboard? In order for you to be able to use this tool, the SSDs need to be connected directly to the motherboard. If the SSDs are connected to a RAID controller, the software would not be able to detect them. Regards, Junior M.

Hi Junior M,

NVMe disks are connected directly through PCIe slot
