We understand your situation regarding the Intel® SSD 540s Series.In order to better address your situation, could you please confirm the following information: *Are you using the SSD as a boot drive or as a storage device? *Have you tested the SSD in a different M.2 port? *Have you tried to perform a secure erase to the SSD? *How did you determinate that you can not read and only can write to the SSD? * I would like to use it as a boot drive, but if it works as a storage drive, I could use it now. It is unusable at this time.
* 1 M.2 port on the machine. I have no other machine with a M.2 slot.
* Safe deletion? I do not know what is it. I just formatted in my linux system. Windows 10 indicates an error when I try to format it.
