I received a Postville (X25-M Gen2) drive Thursday.
Today I received an e-mail from the vendor indicating that they were notified today of a recall on my drive.
(They also left voice mail, without explanation, which I assume is about the same thing.)
I got this too late to call them today, so I can't contact them until Monday.
Does anyone know anything about this? I was just about to install the drive...

I got a private message about this from someone at Intel as well. Since I am not affected by the BIOS password problem and will be able to update the firmware myself, I decided to keep my drive. I have been using it for several days, with no problems.
It would be nice if Intel would put a placeholder page at the URL they have indicated will track this issue. So far it just leads to the generic support site.
