Does it come with the latest firmware, or do I have to manually update it ?

Yes, as of today, the 120GB drive ships with firmware 02HD, the most current version. Enjoy your drive.

I have another question, if you don't mind.

You wrote "as of today". Looking at the box now, I see 'Pack Date: 10/28/10'.

Does this mean it won't have the current firmware version?
