Hey everyone,

Good news (just in time for the holidays)! We have released the new version of the http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18455 Intel® SSD Toolbox (version 1.2) which fixes the issue with the Intel® SSD Optimizer.

If you look carefully you will see that patch only apply to WinXP 64 and Win2k3 64,

many people have this problem under WinXP 32, I am one of them.

I missed the fact you guys were using 32-bit OS. Enabling the Volume Shadow Copy service in 32-bit OS should remove the error message and allow the Optimizer to run.

well, I tried that,

I tried many combination with related service on or off, not working at all.

and the Intel SSD Toolbox do invoke Volume Shadow Copy service to start by itself,

it just keeps telling me that I have a volume shadow copy, that's the suck part

Have you tried disabling system restore and/or deleting all previous system restore shadow copies?

system restore off, reboot, run toolbox,

no, not working,
