What all do I need for G2?

I am new to SSD's but got the G2 and it is running perfectly (good speed benchmarks, etc.)... but reading on here it looks like people are installing things like Intel chipsets, etc.I have an AMD setup and therefore don't have any Intel branded drive...

intel x25-m read speed question

I just got a new x25-m 80gb. I did some benchmark for the drive, the read speed is only at 180mb/s. Is it normal for this drive?problem with the drive? Isn't the drive should be able to reach 250mb/s?
