Hello Mosc. Thank you for posting.

The Intel® SSD Toolbox will only provide TRIM support for RAID 0 on 7 series motherboards (when using Intel® chipset). In this case the results you are getting regarding TRIM support might be purely cosmetic since the combination of SATA controller and RAID is not supported. For your system TRIM is supported if using Intel® ICH10R with a single AHCI (non RAID) drive. This is due to a limitation of the SATA controller unable to translate the TRIM command from SATA to SCSI.

Hi, Joe.

According to info I found (for ex. in Intel SSD Toolbox Help) TRIM is supported on ICH10R in RAID0 and that is my case (see hardware configuration in my previous post: 2 x Intel SSDSA2BW160G3 on ICH10R in RAID0 mode).

Quote from Intel SSD Toolbox Help:

Intel® SSD Optimizer Requirements

...

† The Intel SSD Optimizer can be used on a drive in a RAID array if all of the following conditions are true:

The drives are configured as RAID0

Version 11.0 or later of Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (RST) is installed

All drives in the RAID array are Intel SSDs that support Trim

The array is healthy

The operating system is not Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012
