The intel 510 on my laptop spontaneously stopped working one day, and would not boot. When i took it out and tested it on another computer, Disk management shows it as *Unallocated* and *Not Initialized*. Attempting to enable the drive does not work as i get a cyclic redundancy error. Is this drive just completely dead now? Strangely my last intel 510, which the current drive came as a replacement to died gradually over a week or so while this one was instant.

Hello, you can try a secure erase on this Solid State Drive using the Intel(R) toolbox and try to use the Solid State Drive again but if that does not work you might need to contact the Intel(R) technical support to replace the unit at the following phone number 916 377 7000, you can download the toolbox from the following link:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18455 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18455

Unfortunately the toolbox does not seem to detect the drive. According to command prompt, my drive has no active partitions anymore for some reason.
