About 600p warranty

The LIMITED WARRANTY (http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/solid-state-drives/000020951.html Warranty for Intel® Client SSDs ) said the shorter of 5yr or S.M.A.R.T. E9h MWI normalized to 1. But I can't get the S.M.A.R.T. E9h, because the Intel SSD Toolbox do not support 600p series yet.

The 600p series has 72TBW of Endurance Rating (Lifetime Writes) (from http://ark.intel.com/products/94917/Intel-SSD-600p-Series-128GB-M_2-80mm-PCIe-3_0-x4-3D1-TLC Intel® SSD 600p Series (128GB, M.2 80mm PCIe 3.0 x4, 3D1, TLC) Specifications ). Does the Endurance Rating equal to the Media Wearout above?

My frient has a 600p for test. He has already write more than 37TB on it, and the S.M.A.R.T. Attributes (Log Identifier 02h) "percentage Used Estimate" shows only 12 (by AIDA64 and Crystal Disk Info), means still 88% endurance left.

So, which one is the warranty period. And when the Intel SSD Toolbox support 600p series?

PS

Are you sure the Microsoft Diskpart "clean all" command is Secure Erase rather than Zero filled every sectors?

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/solid-state-drives/ssd-software/000022179.html Secure Erase with Microsoft* DiskPart

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766465(v=ws.10).aspx DiskPart Command-Line Options

Hello NightTOB,
Thanks for posting in our forum. We will be glad to help you.About your SSD, we would like to let you know that the new version of Intel® Solid State Drive Toolbox is about to be released soon, this new version will support these type of drives. The Media Wearout Indicator and the Endurance ratings do not have a direct relation. The E9h SMART attribute will not match wear calculation based on the LBA's written. The reliability values in the product specifications are a minimum expected for Intel® Solid-State Drives. The Endurance rating is calculated using Global standards. It is defined using JESD218 testing method and and JESD219 workloads. The Media Wearout Indicator is calculated by comparing the actual number of Program/Erase (P/E) cycles experienced by the NAND chips, to the maximum number of P/E cycles that the chips are designed to endure. It does not compare the amount of bytes written to the Endurance values in the Spec sheet. This makes the Media Wearout Indicator a true indicator of the wear of the chips. Now, about the secure erase and diskpart "clean all" command, please check more information in this https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766465(WS.10).aspx link, you need to scroll down until you find the clean section, it specifies that each and every sector on the disk is zeroed. Please let us know if you have more questions.Regards,NC
