paul@norac,
The Intel® SSD DC P3600 Series (XGB, 2.5in PCIe 3.0, 20nm, MLC) is designed to be used in enterprise operating systems. Technically, this drive is compatible according to this online documentation: http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04346247.pdf HPE ProLiant DL380 Generation9 (Gen9) page # 24 shows HP* DL380 NVMe* SSD Express Bay Kit Compatibility and page # 34 shows all HPE SSD compatibility. However, you need to consider the OS used and the purpose to use the SSD.For further information on this subject, we recommend to contact your nearest HP* reseller in order to find out more.

Aleki

Thanks for the reply

Unfortunately HP resellers always say if its not HP we cannot say if it will work or not

And yes, we will be running Server 2012R2 and HyperV

Its unfortunate that such a high end product(the drive) does not have a server compatibility list with vendors such as HP

Paul

paul@norac,
Regrettably there is no documentation regarding third-party product compatibility.
