Boot failure with Hyper-V on Intel SSD750

I installed Windows 10 Pro 10586 with vhdx native boot on PCI-E Intel SSD 750 400GB, and it seems to work.

But after activate Hyper-V hypervisor and Hyper-V Services, boot failed - after BIOS POST screen and OS loading ring animation, blackout and no response.

Safe boot is success.

Can I boot Windows normally on PCI-E SSD with Hyper-V?

machine confifuration

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700

Motherboard: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z170 MARK 1, BIOS version 1702

Optimized Default + (VT-d: on)

Disk 0: Intel SSD 750 400GB, PCI-E 3.0 x4

Disk 1: Intel SSD 540s 480GB, 2.5 in SATA 6GB/s

Disk 3: Microsoft virtual disk 80GB vhdx

Disk n with 'diskaprt list disk'

dai_okuno,

As we understand your computer is no longer booting up if you enable Hyper-V services, however if it is disabled the system will boot normally to the OS. We do know for sure the SSD is running fine, however about the services you activated we have not tested that here.

Do you have the latest BIOS version installed in the motherboard?

We will try to test that here, this may take some time, but it could be just some settings that need to adjusted.

Yes. Version 1702 is the latest BIOS of ASUS SABERTOOTH Z170 MARK 1.

ASUS published version 1702 at 2016-03-03.

Thanks for your reply. It seems all drivers were updated, which it is recommended. We have not seen this kind of situations before, for this matter we suggest to contact Microsoft* and Asus* in order to determine the root of cause for the system to not boot up, this since the SSD we know it does work fine.

Jake Oshins say that

First, we're not supporting Discrete Device Assignment in Hyper-V in Windows 10. Only Server versions of Windows support this.

So, Windows 10 with Hyper-V on Intel SSD 750 PCI-E is not supported.
