Hi, I have an issue here with an S3500 120GB.
I cannot change MaximumLBA or any settings, I am receiving this error:

C:\isdct>isdct.exe set -intelssd 0 PhySpeed=1.5

Warning: The number of SCT saves remaining has reached 0. Settings will NOT persist over power-cycle!

And indeed, settings are lost on power cycle.
Also, trying to update firmware I get:

Firmware: D201FJ14

FirmwareUpdateAvailable: Please contact your Intel representative about firmware update for this drive.

ModelNumber: INTEL SSDSC2BB120G4C

Unfortunately I don't have an Intel representative as this drive was bought on ebay on a great deal.
Could you please advise what I can do to change SCTs on this drive ?
Thank you

PRoland,

Did you perform a power cycle on the drive and the system?
If not, you may try the following steps:

1- Power cycle the sytem - Power off the computer, disconnect power cable and battery (If you have a laptop) and once everything is disconnected, press the power button and hold it down for 30 seconds.

2- When the computer is on, please unplug the SATA and power cable of the SSD and then plug it back in.

Please let us know if that worked, in case it did not, could you please provide a picture of your SSD's label?

PRoland,

Could you please provide your computer specs? As we can see from the picture this seems to be an SSD that came installed in a Fujitsu* computer, this means they may have the firmware update for this drive and the proper tools as it is not a retail version.

In this case it's an R210 Dell server but I installed it on a workstation as well than on a Lenovo T440P Laptop

ICH, AHCI

Same result on all machines.

PRoland,

Checking all this information, the firmware of your SSD currently is: D201FJ14, the latest firmware version from Intel is: D2012370.

For the SSD you have, it suggests it is Fujitsu's* as you can verify on the firmware version ...FJ14, this means the disc is "locked" by Fujitsu* and they are the ones providing an updated version, as for us, you won't be able to use our tools or software to change anything on the disc.

Let us know if you require anymore assistance.
