I didn't find any linux driver for C612 chipset. Contacted supermicro too, but there is only for windows.

I tried with latest stable kernel (4.3.0), but not work.

So I think there is a bug in Data Center Tool. Where cand I fill a bug report?

Hi

I have a supermicro server with X10DRL-CT motherboard (C612 chipset). Two DC S3710 200gb SSD are connected to the standard S-ATA ports on the motherboard. On Centos 7.1 the Data Center Tool say no drive found. Why?

But work when I connect these SSDs to the LSI3108 controller (also on the motherboard).

Thanks

Levi

Hello birkosan,

Here are some initial recommendations that may help if Intel® Data Center Tool is not detecting your Intel® SSD DC S3710 when they are connected to the iRST ports of your motherboard.

- Make sure you are usinghttps://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23931/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Data-Center-Tool Intel® SSD Data Center Tool, version 2.3.0. Remember to run ISDCT with Root priviledges (Sudo command).

- Check with http://www.supermicro.com/support/index.cfm Super Micro Support and make sure you are using their most recent driver for your Intel® Chipset.

- Confirm that you are using the latest Firmware for your Intel® SSD DC S3710 (G2010140). You may connect it to the LSI* HBA and use ISDCT to update it if needed.

The intel driver could be the problem, but I doubt that. The latest fw and tool is installed.

I'll check the driver ...

Thanks

Hello birkosan,

Please provide the following information:

- Is the storage controller set to RAID, or AHCI mode?

- Which ports are you using to connect the the drives? Try using the main ports if possible (I-SATA0 and I-SATA1)

If you wish to obtain direct assistance, you can engage a support agent in your region by following the instructions in the website: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport Contact Support

This is resolved by installing sg3-utils and modprobe sg ... or autoloading the sg module.
