Intel states 12W TDP for 400Gb model under intense write operation, peak TDP around 35W. So do not think that heat is a trouble.

Hi

Was wondering if Intel 750 400GB or 1.2TB can be configured in RAID 0 mode with 2 similar size ssd?

Using OS level methods you can achieve such config. Like Storage Spaces or dynamic disks in softRAID in Windows OSes.

Thanks JFF!

I am contemplating between 2x 400GB Raid0 or a single 1.2TB for boot and applications. But one of the concern I have in RAID0 will be both heat and PCIe slots allocation.

Currently I am using slot 1 in my workstation connected to a LSI SAS RAID controller and slot 2 for a Nvidia Quadro M6000 video card. I reckon I will be using both Slot 1 and 4 (all PCIe 3.0 x16, x4 electrically). Think that slot allocation should work as slot 1 is closest to CPU.

Was wondering if anyone has a figure for heat in RAID?
