topic Intel 660p NVME m.2 SSD has variable performance on battery power and charging in Solid State Drives (NAND)

Hi

Just got a brand new asus vivobook 15 X512DA with Ryzen 5 3500U. The laptop came installed with Intel 660p 512GB NVME M.2 SSD.

I noticed that the SSD had varying performance on battery and while plugged in. Using Crystaldiskmark 7- On battery i got 800/770(R/W) and while plugged in i got

1830/950(R/W). I tried changing power setting to high performance- No difference. All drivers are uptodate. Can anyone please tell me why this is happening?.

how to make the drive run with the same performance on battery power?

I would try a new or known battery, and then contact ASUS for support of their laptop.

Doc
