My DC3700 is suddenly showing a SMART failure and returns medium errors on all reads. It's on firmware 5DV10270.

I was using it in a desktop - I'm guessing that it's decided to return read errors for ALL reads since it's a DC drive and something happened.

If so, is there a way to tell it to go into consumer "best-effort" mode to get the data off of it?
