Hello GWana,

Thank you for contacting Intel® Memory & Storage Support.

As we understand you are looking for a comparison between the Intel® SSD DC S3110 Series
128GB, 2.5in SATA 6Gb/s, 3D2, TLC and the Intel® SSD 545s Series 128GB, 2.5in SATA 6Gb/s, 3D2, TLC, if we inferred correctly please visit the following link:

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/compare.html?productIds=125018,129322

To answer your questions:

545s has a controller Silicon Motion SM2259 but which controller is on S3110?

That information is not available for the public.

Which one is more reliable?

Both drives have similar performance and features it depend of the usage that you are going to give to this drive since the Intel® SSD DC S3110 Series is designed for data center/enterprise usage the drive is going to be able to handle bigger workloads for further information please visit the products brief description.

https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/ssd-545s-brief.pdf

https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/ssd-dc-s3100-brief.pdf

What's the difference between 3d2 TLC (545s) and 3D nand tlc (s3110)

The Intel® SSD DC S3110 Series 128GB, 2.5in SATA 6Gb/s, 3D2, TLC and the Intel® SSD 545s Series 128GB, 2.5in SATA 6Gb/s, 3D2, TLC are listed as 3D2, TLC but in ARK there is a typo on the “Lithography Type” section, we will correct this as soon as possible to avoid future confusions.

If you need further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,
