We just acquired some DC P3700 drives and are now trying to the do the following

1. Use these drives as encrypted drives with disk level encryption in a Windows 2016 Server. We have been tasked with using the drives native encryption capabilities and not use bitlocker.

2. Use these drives as encrypted drives with disk level encryption in a Vmware Esxi server for caching. We have been tasked with using the drives native encryption capabilities.

The feature set of the drive says native AES 256 support for encryption but I have not been able to find any tool provided by Intel that allows us to use this built in encryption.

Can some please advise us how we could achieve this?

Hello Billykaka,
Thank you for contacting Intel Technical Support. Intel does not offer any software or tool in order to use the built-in encryption. Some applications to achieve this can be found in the link below: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AES_implementations# Applications https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AES_implementations# ApplicationsWe hope you find this information useful.Thank you for your patience and understanding.Best regards,Josh B.Intel Customer Support
