topic I bought a 530 SSD and directions say i need a USB to sata adapter to install it correctly , why is the correct adapter not included in a kit specified for a laptop? in Solid State Drives (NAND)

The directions clearly indicate that you need to use this adapter to be able to get the SSD recognized before you can migrate the data , very confused and disappointed.

Hi sammy49,

I am sorry you are having this problem but let me help you.

Please note there are two kits for the SSD: the Desktop version and mobile version and both include different adapters. Here you can check more information:

http://www.intel.com/support/ssdc/hpssd/sb/CS-029645.htm http://www.intel.com/support/ssdc/hpssd/sb/CS-029645.htm

My best recommendation is to contact the place of purchase and request to have the product exchange for the kit that comes with a SATA to USB adapter for the SSD.

Kevin m
