My HP laptop suddenly had a blue screen while in use, and I couldn't access it. The hard drive was not recognized in the BIOS at all. Later, after testing with the data recovery tool pc-3000 (a commercial professional hard disk repair comprehensive tool developed by ACE Laboratory, a well-known hard disk laboratory in Russia), it was determined that there was a problem with the hard disk firmware. Can the hard disk data still be repaired?

Thank you for contacting Solidigm™ Customer Support.

Please note that Solidigm does not recommend or support firmware downgrades, as doing so can risk data integrity and drive stability. Firmware updates include important fixes and optimizations that are not backward-compatible in all cases.

If you have any questions, please let us know.

The first thing you want to do is go into the BIOS and disable VMD. In most cases, that will allow your BIOS to see the NVMe drive again -

NVMe drive missing or not booting? No problem!

If that doesn't do the trick for you -

Here's where you want to send your drive to for data recovery. Not only are they excellent, but they are also reasonably priced as well. They have a lot of videos available on YouTube, and you can watch those videos and see them do some pretty amazing recoveries -

Mobile Device Recovery
644 Newman Springs Road,
Suite A,
Lincroft NJ 07738
(732) 933-7717

NVMe - SSD - iPhone Data Recovery
https://mdrepairs.com/nvme-ssd-data-recovery/

Youtube - SSD/NVMe Data Recoveries

Info on NVMe Firmware Corruption
