Synergy Toolkit and Drivers fail to install - Solidigm p41 plus external ssd not detected

I recently bought a solidigm p41 plus 2TB drive and I am housing it in a sabrent enclosure for use as an external ssd. However, when trying to download synergy toolkit, it fails to install. The solidigm drive is also not detected when attempting to install the drivers. The drive itself is also really slow. Any suggestions on what to do?

Thank you for contacting Solidigm™ Support.

It is recommended that drives be connected directly to the motherboard.

If you are connecting a drive through an adapter or enclosure (USB to SATA, USB to M.2, Thunderbolt™), keep in mind that the BIOS, motherboard, backplane, and tools may not recognize the drive correctly.
