How come I cannot enable Fast Lane?

I've been wanting to try the Fast Lane feature using Solidigm Synergy.

I've tried this on 3 different systems with Solidigm Synergy.

The fast lane tab always says: "This operation can't be performed on this drive."

The Clear Write Cache also says "This operation can't be performed on this drive."

Why?

Do I need to disable drive encryption? Does the drive need to not be the system drive? What's going on here?

I should note that the issue I'm having is on a P44 Pro 2tb nvme ssd.

Oh. That's interesting. Is there a reason why the p41 drive supports the features and the p44 doesn't? Seems like the higher end drive would normally support more features; but I'm sure there is most likely a good reason.
