Thank you for your reply. I did not expect SST to work with OEM drive. And I do not have a reason to contact random person who sold this drive to me.

I hope eventually get reply from someone who did cross-flash before.

Hello. I've bought used SSDPEKNU512GZH. Turned out, it came from laptop and has HPS1 firmware. Is there a way to convert the drive to Intel 003C firmware? I understand risks.

Dear Nikolay,

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your SSD drive.

As we understand, you are requesting support related to your Intel® SSD 670p Series. If we inferred correctly, please, review the following information:

The firmware that you mentioned is an OEM firmware so the Solidigm™ Storage Tool won't be able to update the firmware. We advise you to contact the place of purchase to get more information about the SSD firmware update availability.

If you need further assistance related to your drive/s, please do not hesitate to contact us via   https://support.solidigm.com/en-US/anonymous-createcase/  and create a support ticket.

You can upgrade to HPS2 (May 2022) which is possibly the HP OEM branded version of 003C

Even if HPS2 is indeed 003C and not 002C, such upgrade will not resolve OEM lock which is my original goal.
