I found the answer. These cards can manage 4 or 8 SSD PCIe NVMe:

https://ark.intel.com/products/93477/Full-height-Low-profile-PCIe-Switch-Add-in-Card-supporting-4x-NVMe-SSD-AXX4PX8HDAIC Full-height, Low-profile PCIe* Switch Add-in Card supporting 4x NVMe* SSD AXX4PX8HDAIC Product Specifications https://ark.intel.com/products/93477/Full-height-Low-profile-PCIe-Switch-Add-in-Card-supporting-4x-NVMe-SSD-AXX4PX8HDAIC https://ark.intel.com/products/93477/Full-height-Low-profile-PCIe-Switch-Add-in-Card-supporting-4x-NVMe-SSD-AXX4PX8HDAIC

https://ark.intel.com/products/124459/8-Port-PCIe-Gen3-x8-Switch-AIC-AXXP3SWX08080 8-Port PCIe Gen3 x8 Switch AIC AXXP3SWX08080 Product Specifications

Moreover, the tri-mode RAID controller can also manage SSD PCIe NVMe. For example:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/servers/raid/raid-adapter-rsp3td160f.html Intel® RAID Adapter RSP3TD160F

Regards

Hi,

I would like to install 8 SSDs PCIe NVMe x4 (like Intel SSD DC P4501 Series). It has a form factor 2.5".

I am looking for a PCIe card with many SFF 8643 connectors, ideally a PCIe x16 with 4 SFF 8643 connectors. Is there such device ?

Thanks,

Regards.

Hello Othman_B,
We understand you would like to know how to plug several SSDs PCIe NVMe* 2.5" in a server, for you to be aware, you can do that by using a backplane NVME* module. For this, we do recommend you contacting your server manufacturer as they could point you to a compatible device and at the same time, ask if the SSD you want to use will work with both. Please let us know if you need more assistance.Regards,Nestor C
