Intel® SSD 540s series firmware 015C not available with Intel® SSD Toolbox 3.4.7

Hi.

According to following page > https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/memory-and-storage/000017245.html Firmware Versions for Intel® Solid State Drives and Intel® Optane™... , my SSD which is 540s series at 240 GB (that is same as 256 GB, right?), should be available for firmware update to version 015C using latest version of Intel® SSD Toolbox version 3.4.7, but it is not. My current firmware version is 041C on Windows 8.1, attaching couple of screenshots. What is the problem here?

We understand you have some questions regarding the firmware version of your SSD and if it is the correct one.First of all, the tool is reporting correctly the version of firmware on your SSD, the 240GB and 256GB are not the same SSD, these are different.In other words, your SSD is using the latest firmware as of today.Please let us know if you need anything else from us.Regards,Nestor C

Following page provides different information > https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/solid-state-drives/ssd-540s-series-spec.html Intel® SSD 540s Series (2.5-inch) Product Specification

Capacities: 120, 180, 240, 360, 480, 1000 GB

There is no capacity of 256 GB, neither 512 GB. As you already know, the real sizes differ due to power of 1000 rather than 1024.

Please explain.
