Hello Osolith,

We currently have 5mm and 7mm height SSDs. Intel® does not provide information about unreleased products but as of now these are the only form factors available. Unfortunately I have not tested any type of adapter.

http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/ssd-dc-s3500-brief.pdf http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-briefs/ssd-dc-s3500-brief.pdf

https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/solid-state-drives/solid-state-drives-dc-s3500-series.html https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/solid-state-drives/solid-state-drives-dc-s3500-series.html?

Intel S3500 9.5mm version?

With the 320 series SSDs going EOL and the replacement being the S3500 series we are left with only 7mm height options. For our current application we need the Enhanced Power-Loss Data Protection that the 320, S3500 and S3700 series offer, but we are installing these in Startech PCI swap trays which require the SSD to be 9.5mm high to work properly.

My questions are;

Will there be any 9.5mm versions of the S3500 series in the future?

Are there any aftermarket 7mm to 9.5mm adapters that will work with the S3500 series SSDs? (cardboard filler does not count :-D)

Thank you,

-Osolith
