topic SSD Toolbox Windows Only; no OS X support correct? in Archive

The SSD toolbox download screen says that it is OS independent, but the file is clearly a MSI (Microsoft Installer). Has anyone had luck running the toolbox through VMWare, or would it work to pop the drive out and optimize it via USB on a windows 7 machine?

Has anyone experimented? I would love to benefit from your experience.

I had this same question the other night. I think they just mislabeled the OS support, as this definitely won't run in OS X.

Right now I am biting my fingernails over the firmware update that is hosing a lot of SSDs ... have you updated yet? I have not found any other OS X users who have updated to see if they have had the problem.

Thanks!
