FW tool does not discover installed SSD

Hi,

I just wanted to flash my 80 Gig Postville SSD but after booting the flash tool from CD it says it can't find any Intel SSD in my System.

The weird thing is I am running Windows 7 perfectly fine on this SSD and it defintely works in my system.

I am runing it on SATA Port 0 on my Asus P5B Deluxe mainboard attached a JMicron controller.

BIOS is set to AHCI for the SSD and the controller.

Does anyone have an idea what might be the problem here?

Hi, I have the same motherboard. I had to switch to the IDE mode before it detected my SSD.

Remember to switch it back to AHCI after updating.

BTW, the latest firmware screwed my SSD, so be careful!

Waht does screwed up mean - could you explain that more detailed.
