      <description>&lt;P&gt;You mean the SATA password/HDD password in BIOS to enable FDE?  If so then you are out of luck, no way to recover it.  Your SSD is nothing more than a expensive paperweight at this point.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have the same problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I bought a Thinkpad Edge 13 (AMD) and a SSD 320.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;First I installed Linux and the System works well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Afterwards I actived Passphrase encryption and ATA Password  (HDP) in BIOS and can't unlock the drive anymore.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is that just a mere chance!?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't need the data, too - I just want  my freshly bought SSD back!!! &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;rolli&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;better return your SSD to your point of purchase, from what i know, ssd locked can't be clear unless it was lock using hdat2 then you can try to clear it else a new SSD is the only option&lt;/P&gt;</description>
