Hello,

I recently won an Intel 510 120GB SSD. I currently have a Sony Vaio VGN-NS290J Laptop with an Azzio 3.5" / 2.5" Docking Station Attached. Yes, you can run a SSD in a docking station....

However:

1) Is this a USB 2.0, USB 3.0, or eSATA dock? If it is USB 2.0, there is no point since a HDD already saturates the connection.

2) If it is USB, the Intel SSD Toolbox will probably not work on the drive.

3) There will be no TRIM support (used to maintain the SSD performance over time)

This is a USB 2.0. Do I need an eSATA Docking Station?

Both. I currently have a laptop. Once I move, I will be building a new desktop.

Hello I just bought an Intel 120g 320 series SSD im using a labtop and im wanting to use the USB connectors instead of taking apart the computer and installing it but every time I connect it I dont know if its working or not and how do I make it my main drive? Im on Windows 7

If you want to boot from thois drive than set it as your boot drive in BIOS - Boot from USB
