Please advise the driver that you would recommend. Thanks!

Just installed the X25-M in my wife's ASUS UL10 with Win 7 64 bit. Works wonderfully!

The driver is: ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller dated 6/19/09 v 8.9.0.1023. Does this driver enable the TRIM command to work?

I know that there is a more recent driver (v 9.6.0.1014, dtd 3/23/10). Does this driver enable the TRIM command? Do I need to update?

Thanks!

I do not believe TRIM is supported by that driver. I am trying to find a changelog to be sure but Windows 7 with TRIM was released after that date.

Regardless, it is recommended that you keep your drivers up-to-date.

@duckie - Thanks!

Installed 10.1.0.1008 and works like a charm. CrystalDiskMark tests with 8.9.0.1023 (before) and 10.1.0.1008 (after) show almost identical scores so, no harm done, at least! And, now (presumably) TRIM will work.

Thanks for the help!
