The SSD is not preformatted or partitioned.

My advise is do not ghost your drive onto the SSD. I have assisted far to many who have done this and, for some reason, something has not gone right resulting in sub-par performance. In the end, they all ended up completing a fresh install. http://www.myw7blog.blogspot.com My Computer and Win7 Optimization Guide will assist with this while http://www.thessdreview.blogspot.com The SSD Review will help with any number of other questions.

Good Luck

Les
