I've got two 80gb X-25M 'g2gc ssds, in raid thru the x58 ich10r chipset.

Ok, so no toolbox support due to the ata command pass thru issue.

But how about in boot up / Dos mode? Is there any hope of a d/l disk tool for the ssd's via trim or whatever?

From Intel or whom ever?

Tex.

Dooh, Here I am counter posting on my own thread. This new driver is so close for me, but after power up boot, it seems the 9.6.0.1014 irst doesn't start up in the tray without a little yellow bang that the ( app ) didn't start. Anyone seeing this?

The driver loads ok, and the app will start manually.

The board is a DX58SO with the 5020 bios (135mhz) and an ex975 cpu.

Oh, yeah, Win 7 x64.

Tex.

Yes. The icon in the sys-tray will have the yellow mark, but only for a couple of minutes. Some sort of delayed start. Check the icon after a couple of minutes, it should turn to a green checkmark over a tiny drive (looks like).

You can disable the icon in the sys-tray if you do not like it. Open The IRST app, go to "Preferences," untick "show notification icon."

So does it Trim or not with Rapid Storage Technology on two Intel SSD Raid 0 ?

No TRIM for SSD RAID array. With new RST drivers you can have a RAID array (spinning drives) along side a single Intel SSD, and TRIM will function for that SSD (except for RAID 5 I believe).

hth,

....bobbyr
