    <description>&lt;P&gt;To prolong drive life, you might want to consider turning off things like System Restore and the Search Index that can cause more drive activity than usual. Windows 7 is supposed to handle most other things on its own, and should automatically disable defragmentation, for example.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'd generally maintain the drive as an OS/application drive, and if you're ever extensively downloading, storing media, etc., put those things on another drive.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Intel is supposed to have firmware with TRIM support out within the next couple months, and I'd upgrade to it once available.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
