I need to reformat my installation of Windows 7, and was wondering since the drive and windows 7 already have trim enabled do I need to just do a quick format when installing OR do I need to run hdderase?
 I'm running a Intel 80gb G2 SSD Trim firmware

Formatting your drive now actually does
something. You no longer have to boot to DOS and secure erase your SSD
before installing Windows, just quick format the partition before
installing Windows 7.

http://www.anandtech.com/storage/showdoc.aspx?i=3667&p=2 Rest of the article

I got a X25-M myself (80gig) and decided to format since TRIM was now supported.

Everything works fine with just a quick format, i actually got a 7.8 at WEI and had 7.7 before

So it should work OK
