Sorry about the link, I'm not sure why that happened. The rumour started with the Inquirer as far as I can tell. http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/1406326/intel-34nm-nand-ssds-launch-weeks

The rumour is already over a week old and nothing more has come out so I'm not sure what is happening, but Intel's site has stated that engineering samples have already been sent out so it must be soon.

As usual, I am very skeptical about Intel's timeline....expect a very happy "postpone date" kind of reply to the next quarter.....

well, if it turns out well, does that mean the current batches will see a huge decline in price? However, not sure how long does it take to reach the consumers.....

Keep your fingers crossed, the announcement MAY be today.. Intel has a conference call scheduled for shareholders at 5:30 PM EST, after the markets close which is fairly normal.. In addition there are several websites in Europe and Japan that have the units listed for sale.. You can Google 'Intel Postville 34nm SSD' and check them out.. Don't forget to translate the page..
