Intel 320 80GB Cannot find Operating System

Purchase and installed SSD, 320, 80GB, 5 months ago running win 7 Home Premium . This drive worked flawlessly up to this week. At start up message cannot find operating system media failed

Just a note Intel support considers this drive unusuable failed

I have the same problem of a 160GB drive. Cannot see it when mounting as external hard drive. I had the latest firmware update. It happened after my computer freezed and I did a cold restart from the button.

I have the same drive and had the same thing happen. I managed to fix it by turning the pc off for a few minutes, then turning it back on again. Guess i got lucky.
