I would like to clone my 320 160gb ssd to a new 520 180gb ssd. My motherboard has sata 3(dell xps 8300) and I'm currently running xp on it with the 320 ssd. Will intel's cloning utility be able to work for this or would I have to do a fresh install on the 520? Thanks for any input.

I think either would work. Just depends on your preference.

You could ask yourself things like...(below) to help make up your mind.

How large are the files on the 320?

How long will a clean install take on the 520?

Do you need all of the files and programmes form the 320?

Good luck

Rodders
